Overview
Honda Motor Co Ltd. is a Japanese automaker which established itself in the year 1959. In 2001 Honda became the second largest Japanese automobile manufacturer and eighth largest automobile manufacturer in the world. Honda HR-V is a mini crossover SUV with 5-door body style and being produced since 1999. Currently it is in its second generation and made its debut at the 2014 New York Auto Show as a concept car while the production model was unveiled later at the 2014 LA Auto Show. It also shares its platform with the third generation Honda Fit. This mean machine is powered by a robust 1.8 litre SOHC i-VTEC engine which is mated with a six speed manual transmission gearbox. This powerful engine generates a maximum power of 141 PS at 6500 rpm to provide you an effortless cruising along with a commanding torque of 172 Nm at 4300 rpm to deliver fast acceleration and a good pulling power. Further it can zoom to an acceleration of 100 kmph from a position of halt in just 11.4 seconds while the top speed which it is able to attain clocks at 201 kmph. Exterior
The designers have made this car with much precision to give it a captivating and alluring look. The EL trim and E trim has got a high gloss black grille with chrome accents while the S trim has a grained finish black grille. Talking about its illumination, the EL trim is integrated with dual projector LED headlights with LED daytime running lights (DRL) with an auto levelling adjustment while the other variants have multi reflector halogen headlights. The fog lamps and LED tail lamps are present in all the variants. The power adjustable and folding door mirrors are given the body colour that makes them blend in the side profile. Regarding the door handles, the EL trim is designed with chrome door handles while the other trims have body coloured door handles. Interior
No road trip would be too long with HR-V's spacious and comfortable interior. The manual driver seat is designed with height adjusting feature while the rear seats have a ULT (utility, long and tall) mode with a 60:40 split. Further the seats are wrapped up in leather for the EL trim while the other trims have a black fabric. It is fitted with a leather wrapped shift knob along side a leather wrapped electric power steering with tilt and telescopic adjustment to deliver a perfect driving position to the driver. The instrument cluster has all the information placed neatly along with an illumination for a better view. The rear seats have a sliding and reclining function which helps to increase the boot space.
